How do I make a purchase?
Purchases may be made at scheduled exhibits and events, though galleries, and on-line at the DC Art Glass eCommerce website, ShopDCArtGlass.com. Or, contact Robert directly.
Are gift certificates or gift cards available?
Yes, we offer three options for puchasing Gift Cards/Gift Certificates.
- Gift Certificates are redeemed for on-line purchases at ShopDCArtGlass.com only and may be purchased here.
- eGift Cards are redeemed for purchases at the DC Art Glass Studio physical location and my be purchased here.
- DC Art Glass Plastic Gift Cards are redeemed for purchases made at the DC Art Glass Studio physical location and may be purchased at the Studio, or by contacting the studio via email.
Are some pieces ceramic, or are they all glass?
With the exception of hardware used to hang or stand the artwork, all pieces are 100% art glass. Each piece has been created from glass that has been carefully selected and specifically designed to be compatible during the firing process.
In some cases, additional techniques have been applied to produce art works that have an alternate surface texture. For example, a “matte” surface can be obtained by sandblasting and re-firing the glass. This technique results in a satin-like surface texture that often times can be mistaken for stone or ceramic.
How is the glass cleaned?
It is recommended to use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the glass surface. The cloth may be dampened with water. Before wiping, be sure to inspect both the cloth and glass surface for any tiny objects that could cause the glass to scratch. Always make sure the glass is secure before wiping. Never use harsh chemicals or grainy cleaning solutions. Avoid the dishwasher!
How do I get on the email list?

How do I sign up for a glass blowing class?
The DC Art Glass Studio specializes in kilnforming, or fused glass. We do not offer glass blowing classes or demonstrations. To register or see currently available fusing classes, click here or visit our eCommerce site, ShopDCArtGlass.com.
Interested in a particular session, but have a schedule conflict? Looking to organize an introductory session for a small group of friends and/or family members? Contact us to make arrangements for a workshop that fits your needs.
Is the class you are interested in sold out? Contact us to be put on the waiting list. In some cases, if there is enough additional interest, another session may be added.
Can I sign up my child for a fusing class?
At this time all kilnforming classes are for the Adult/Young Adult age group.
Are the displayed colors and sizes accurate?
Each piece is individually handmade by following a detailed, multi-step process. While every attempt is made to remain consistent, it is common of handmade kilnformed glass objects to have slight color shifts, incidental size fluctuations and tiny “champagne” bubbles.
